East Nusa Tenggara province of Indonesia is a located in southeastern Indonesia. The province consists of several islands, among others, Flores, Sumba, Timor, Alor, Lembata, Rote, Sabu, Adonara, Solor, Komodo and Palue. Its capital is located in Kupang, West Timor. The province consists of approximately 550 islands, the three main islands of East Nusa Tenggara are Flores, Sumba and West Timor. The province occupies the western part of Timor island. While the eastern part of the island is that the former province of Indonesia-27, which is an independent East Timor to East Timor in 2002.Meaning of the symbol of East Nusa Tenggara District are as follows: Shield-shaped with five angles with a view, in addition to symbolizing the protection of the people also symbolizes the meaning of Pancasila. In the shield terBerkas: stars, dragons, rice and cotton, spears and banyan trees. This ancient animal is the giant reptile is declared protected by the world because this animal species found only in East Nusa Tenggara, precisely on the island of Komodo. Many tourists from all over the world come to this island only to see the dragons. Cotton, rice symbolizes prosperity. Spear symbolize majesty and glory. Banyan tree symbolizes the unity and integrity is maintained. Today the formation of East Nusa Tenggara province was described by the amount of rice (14) and listed in 1958 under the symbol directly on point.The population of the province is 4,448,873 souls in which the total male population and female population of 2,213,608 people as many as 2,235,265 people (2007). [4] Most of the Christian population by the percentage of ± 95% (mostly Christians), ± 4% Muslim, 0.2% ± Hindu or Buddhist, and ± 3% for the other. East Nusa Tenggara become a refuge for the Christians in Indonesia who shy away from religious conflict in Maluku and Irian Jaya. Secondary school enrollment rate was 39% which is far below the average of Indonesia, which is 80.49% in 2003/04 (by UNESCO). Drink of clean water, sanitation and lack of health facilities leads to malnutrition of children (32%) and infant mortality (71 per 1000) is also larger than most other provinces of Indonesia Like the West Nusa Tenggara, East Nusa Tenggara province is dominated by islands, the three main islands in this region are Flores, Sumba and West Timor. While other islands including the island of Adonara, Alor, Pig, Large, Angel, Dana, Komodo, Rinca, Lomblen, Loren, Ndao, Palue, Pamana, Pamana Large, Pantar, Deer, Raijua, Rote (terselatan island in Indonesia) , MPA, Semau and Solor.
